We’ve recently been made aware of scams where fraudsters pose as banks and send links directing customers to fake mobile apps or fraudulent sign‑in pages. These links and apps are designed to look legitimate but are used to steal login credentials and gain access to bank accounts.
- Do not click links sent by text, email, or phone calls. Scammers often direct victims to fake banking apps or look‑alike sign‑in pages.
- Only use your bank’s official app. Download apps directly from the Apple App Store or Google Play—never from a link you receive.
- Never enter credentials after being contacted. Banks will not ask you to sign in through a link they send.
- When in doubt, stop and verify. Contact your bank directly using the phone number on the back of your card or the official website—not the number or link provided to you.
If you believe you clicked a fraudulent link or entered your information, contact your bank immediately.
