Federal Home Loan Bank Dallas Matching Program Awards Over $63,000 in Grants to Local Nonprofits

January 3, 2025

The Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB) is making a meaningful impact in local communities by awarding grants to organizations through its matching program. This initiative is designed to amplify financial contributions from partner banks, enabling nonprofits to expand their reach and deepen their community impact. This year, four local organizations—Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas, Heartisans Marketplace, Cornerstone Restoration, and Mission Marshall—have been selected for the program, receiving a combined total of $63,000 in grants from Guaranty Bank & Trust and the FHLB.

Here’s how each organization will benefit from the program:

Hope Ministries of Northeast Texas

Hope Ministries, dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need, received a $3,000 contribution from Guaranty Bank & Trust, which was matched by FHLB with an additional $15,000. This brings their total grant to $18,000. These funds will strengthen the organization’s ability to provide essential services and resources across Northeast Texas.

Heartisans Marketplace

As a social enterprise focused on creating job opportunities and providing training to underserved communities, Heartisans Marketplace was awarded $5,000 by Guaranty Bank & Trust. FHLB matched this with a $25,000 grant, resulting in a total of $30,000. With these funds, Heartisans can continue empowering individuals through meaningful employment and skill-building initiatives.

Cornerstone Restoration

Cornerstone Restoration, an organization dedicated to revitalizing housing and offering restoration services to low-income families, received $2,500 from Guaranty Bank & Trust. This was matched by FHLB with an additional $12,500, for a total contribution of $15,000. These funds will support the organization’s mission to provide safe and stable housing for vulnerable families.

Mission Marshall

Mission Marshall, a nonprofit working to break the cycle of poverty, was selected for the matching grant program and received $2,500 from Guaranty Bank & Trust. FHLB contributed an additional $12,500, resulting in a $15,000 total grant. The funding will enhance Mission Marshall’s ability to offer programs and resources that empower individuals to achieve long-term stability.
